UNDER ARMOUR

The project includes 50,000 square feet of tenant interiors for Under Armour on 5 floors of 135 Townsend Street in San Francisco, California. The workplace areas include open and enclosed offices, collaboration spaces, meeting rooms with extensive audio-visual systems, demonstration kitchen, warming and prep kitchen, dining space, all hands meeting area and an activity/fitness area.

The project is LEED Gold Certified.

The project delivery method used was design-bid-build. MEYERS+ is the engineer of record for the project.

MEYERS+ provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing & fire protection services.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

The interior spaces are served by Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRF) ducted fan coil units hung in concealed ceiling spaces. This allowed for a fully modern office TI in a protected building in SF’s historic South End Historic Preservation District.

A new electrical and fire alarm system is provided along with a new wireless lighting control system serving all 5 floors.

Mechanical and Electrical design and control strategies were created to accommodate a whole-office bleachers/all-hands space for worldwide video conferences that also served as a rec-room during the normal course of business. This area also included a demonstration kitchen/film studio and a professional bread oven.
