UCSF BAKAR BIOENGENUITY HUB WEST

Located within the top three floors of the UCSF- Operated Block 02 development at the Potrero Power Station in San Francisco, The Bakar BioEngenuity Hub West (BBH-W) is a 95,000 GSF cutting-edge facility focused on advancing life sciences and biotechnology research.

BBH-W will provide state-of-the-art lab spaces, collaborative work environments, and resources for startups and established companies in the biotech industry. This innovative space will be designed to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and contribute to San Francisco’s growing reputation as a global leader in biotechnology.

A dedicated main entry lobby on the ground floor will provide direct access to the BBH-West floors. Programming included a dedicated ground floor symposium area with catering and support for 200 people.

The project will be required to achieve LEED Gold Certification. The project is currently in construction.

The project delivery method was design-bid-build. M+ is the engineer of record for the BBH-W floors, and coordinated infrastructure with the core/shell building team.
