UC BERKELEY INNOVATIVE GENOMICS INSTITUTE AND BAKAR LABS

The project will be a new 143,000 SF new research facility for the Innovative Genomics Institute and Bakar Labs. The building will be located at the intersection of University Avenue and Oxford Streets in Berkeley, California and will be owned by UC Berkeley and designed and permitted through the UC Berkeley Campus.

The project is anticipated to be all-electric and will be designed to high sustainability standards with occupant well-being as a primary focus for design. It is anticipated that the project will achieve LEED Gold Equivalent and the decision to be LEED certified will be made during the design.
