SAN FRANCISCO FLOWER MART

The historic San Francisco Flower Mart site at 6th and Brannan Streets is a the focal point of this dynamic, mixed use development in the transforming Central SOMA district. The project will contain approximately 2.4 million square feet of mixed-use tenant area. High-rise office buildings and a retail themed Market Hall will sit atop below grade parking.

The project is seeking LEED Platinum certification.

The project delivery method is design-assist.

MEYERS+ is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing & fire protection services and energy modelling services.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

The HVAC systems include dedicated outside air systems with 100% outside air supplied to high efficiency fan terminal units in the office spaces.  The all-electric central chilled water plant includes high efficiency chillers in series with distributed air-cooled heat recovery chiller/heat pumps on each building providing cooling and heating to the office space.  The development also includes a centralized 20,000 GPD blackwater treatment system that provides on-site non-potable water for toilet flushing and irrigation.

Space and infrastructure are planned for a 3rd party battery storage installation used to reduce peak energy grid demand and reduce electricity cost.
