PIER 70 BUILDING 2

The project is part of the redevelopment of Pier 70  located at 20th and Maryland Streets in San Francisco. The building is in the Union Iron Works Historic District and was the center of design and engineering at Pier 70 during WWII. The building will be repositioned for 100,000 GSF of commercial office and ground floor retail.

The Project is targeting LEED Silver certification.

The project delivery method used was design-bid-build, where MEYERS+ provided full services including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.

MEYERS+ is providing energy modelling, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & fire protection services for the project.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

The HVAC systems includes a 100% dedicated outdoor outside air ventilation system with high efficiency MERV 15 filters and bi-polar ionization,  reducing energy use and improving indoor air quality.

The Electrical systems are designed to support high tech tenants. The project includes a Diesel Generator meeting EPA Tier 4 emissions standards, located at the roof in a weatherproof sound attenuated enclosure. The Generator serves code required emergency system loads and includes additional capacity for use by a future Class A office tenant.
