NAVY YARD ART SPACE
The project involves redeveloping an existing Navy Yard building at the Stanton Yards marina in Detroit, MI into a new art gallery. It will include demolishing the current exterior and adding a new façade while keeping the existing structure and foundation. All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems—along with utility connections—will be completely replaced. The renovated building will be a single-story structure with 15,000 square feet on the ground level and an additional 5,000 square feet across three mezzanine areas, for a total of about 20,000 square feet.
MEYERS+ is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for the project.
ENGINEERING FEATURES
The MEP design include the following unique features:
Central air-source heat pump system that produces chilled and hot water for distribution to air handling units and fan coil units.
Pre-Action sprinkler system to protect works that will be on display within the facility from possible water damage.
2000A electrical service at voltage of 208/120 volts.
