Senior Associate, Building Technology Leader

My career path didn’t exactly follow a straight line. It started not in a server room or on a blueprint, but on a stage working as a musician. In high school I started gigging locally with a jazz ensemble, then in college as a broadcast radio engineer my world was a mix of performance and the technology that made that performance possible.

That early passion for creating experiences—whether through music, theater, or live events—drove me from the stage to behind the scenes. I found I was just as fascinated with the systems that made the show happen as I was with the show itself. This led me to pivot from a music and theater major to a degree in telecommunications, and that study became my passport to some incredible opportunities. I’ve been a roadie on tour, designed comm systems for high-security facilities, developed bleeding edge products in Silicon Valley, and spent a wonderful decade as a Disney Imagineer, where blending storytelling with cutting-edge technology was the daily mission.

Now, as the leader of the Technology and Low Voltage Design team at Meyers+, I bring all those threads together. I see every architectural project as its own kind of production. The technology we design—the audiovisual, security, and telecommunications systems—are the critical infrastructure that allows the people within the space to connect, create, and perform highly. It's about engineering a seamless human experience, a principle that has guided my entire career.

The bass and guitar are still a daily part of my life. My ever-growing collection of guitar effect pedals is a testament to my lifelong obsession with finding the perfect tone.
