GOLDEN STATE VALKYRIES TRAINING FACILITY

This project included the renovation of approximately 6,500 SF in the existing Warriors practice and training facility in Oakland at 1111 Broadway in Oakland, CA. The scope of renovation included work on the 5th floor practice area, including the enlargement of the weight and training room, complete replacement of pool and spa, expansion and rework of locker rooms and restrooms, enlargement of the players’ lounge, offices for coaches and staff, a fuel bar, and equipment storage and support spaces.

MEYERS+ was the engineer on record and provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for the project.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

The MEP design include the following unique features:
- Single duct VAV terminal units serving project area.
- Modifications and re-balancing of existing mechanical systems to maximize air change rates and improve ventilation to the project area. 
- Title 24 compliant lighting and associated controls.
- New electric water heaters and revisions to existing plumbing to support expansion of the shower facilities and new hydrotherapy room. 
- Expansion of AV/IT infrastructure
