MEYERS+ ENGINEERS is seeking a Electrical Engineer – Senior Associate to join our San Francisco office and work on world class design projects with a leading MEP design firm in the architectural engineering consulting industry. We are looking for an experienced engineer with proven leadership and project delivery track record on complex building projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and engineering related to the design and construction of highly sustainable, high performance, innovative, and iconic buildings.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceptualize electrical and fire alarm systems and communicate design options to stakeholders
Develop high quality electrical system construction documents
Develop building fire alarm systems designs and sequences of operation
Prepare electrical technical specifications and calculations
Project team organization and management
Project planning and forecasting
Complete projects profitably and on schedule
Develop new client relationships
Participate in business development activities
Active participant in firm leadership and management
Interview for projects and provides presentations to clients, staff and at industry events
Present to clients, staff and at industry events
Provide mentorship, training and development for staff
Project quality control
Responsible as the Engineer of Record (EOR)
Key Competencies and Skills:
Experience working on a variety of building types through all phases of a project from schematic design through construction administration
Excellent communications skills to enable successful in-person dialogue and relationships with owners, architects and other consultants
Inspire and motivate staff – Team player
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably
Serve as a technical resource for the company
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools
Engineering calculations and performance simulation software
Construction administration experience
Business Development Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
12+ Years' Experience
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
LEED Accreditation
