BEI HOTEL

This project was located in San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood at 50 Eight Street.

This renovation transformed the dated Holiday Inn into the boutique BEI Hotel, San Francisco. The ground floor entry and common spaces were enveloped in natural materials: soft white oak and graphite stone. The project included a new hotel, restaurant, bar and lounge, private dining room, and a light, bright café which is also open to the public.

The project delivery method is design-build. The  MEP Basis of Design was delivered at 100% Schematic Design for procurement of mechanical and electrical design-build subcontractors. M+ will provide peer review services for the remaining design and construction administration phases.

ENGINEERING FEATURES

MEYERS+ collaborated on the major repositioning of the hotel guest experience, with the interior public spaces having been significantly remodeled.   The MEP systems in the ground floor entry and dining spaces were thoughtfully coordinated with the interior design to highlight the white oak ceiling.
