When I was in college, I thought mechanical engineering only had to do with product design. Immediately after graduating from Binghamton University, I was introduced to a different kind of design – building systems design. Rather than focusing on a single component, I could design entire systems within a building. Schools, airports, apartments – everything needs to be designed properly to ensure we’re keeping people the most comfortable and safe. I found my calling to ensure that every building I design carefully considers the well-being of its occupants. It’s not easy finding that same philosophy in a team. Here at MEYERS+, I found a company that shares my philosophy. Every building we design is held to the highest standard. Working in tandem with the best architects, engineers, contractors, and developers, we’ve managed to create world class solutions.
Did you know?
I love going to other countries to travel and explore. I spent four days hiking the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. It was almost 40 miles of hiking in very high altitudes. I was chewing on Coca leaves the entire trip to combat the altitude sickness!
I love being outdoors—whether I’m hitting the trails for a hike or lacing up my shoes for a run. There’s something about moving through nature that clears my mind and recharges my energy. Hiking gives me the chance to slow down and take it all in, while running pushes me to go further and faster. Either way, I’m always up for the next adventure.
