I was raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico, the birthplace of the atomic bomb, in a town built around Los Alamos National Laboratory. It was a rare privilege to be surrounded by renowned scientists and engineers from around the world, including my own father. Immersed in that concentration of talent from an early age, it felt less like a choice and more like a calling.

I studied at the University of California, San Diego and later the University of California, Davis, where I developed a strong interest in environmental building design and water chemistry. After earning my degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, I quickly knew I wanted to make an influence in the engineering world as a woman engineer.

Did you know?

On the weekends you can find me bouncing between the sauna and cold plunge, it's become my favorite way to reset. Throw in a hot tub and/or steam room…. pure bliss! Spa life = best life!
