Associate Principal, Plumbing/Fire Protection Department Head
As a senior in mechanical engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2004, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my career but knew I liked variety and collaborative work, which led me to being interested in consulting firms. I ended up following a friend to the plumbing department at Flack + Kurtz in NYC and it was the best decision I have made to date. After spending 9 years working in the chaotic NYC market, I transferred to San Francisco for better weather and a reprieve from living surrounded by NY sports fans. Having experience in varied markets and sectors has given me a unique perspective. This industry suits my eclectic interests and the constant challenge of new projects, new problems and new relationships keeps me on my toes.
Did you know?
Speaking of toes, I took a year off between high school and college to dance professionally. I lived in Brooklyn, interned at the Broadway Dance Center and auditioned. I also judged dance competitions and continued to do so during college. Dance was and is a huge passion of mine, and provides an artistic balance to my practical engineering side.
